Beefy Goodness!

This is one of our favourite ways of eating beef and a great slow cooked dinner.

I first put some softened onions in the base of the slow cooker and then place some mushrooms on top.

Then comes the browned beef,

add some gravy – made from de-glazing the pan in which I softened the onions and browned the beef, a little flour, salt, pepper and some herbs and then leave to cook on low for as long as you like.

Apologies for these photos – I realise they aren’t great.  We cooked this for many hours and served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, steamed cabbage and carrots.  It was delicious, the beef was incredibly tender.  I should have taken a photo of the diner plated up but we couldn’t wait!
