As you know I am doing a series of posts this week with ideas on how to pamper our hands.
Arguably our hands can give our age away more quickly than our faces if we don’t take care of them, and nobody wants dry, rough hands do they?
There are obvious ways that we can help our hands – rubber gloves always when washing up or doing cleaning, gardening gloves when getting down and dirty with the soil etc.
So, hand masks: as mentioned yesterday these are quite messy but worth it. One good tip is to have a large bowl of warm water and a face cloth ready for rinsing (or an OH on hand to turn on taps!).
Food based masks:
Honey and natural yogurt – mix together a tablespoon of each and then spread over your hands, leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse off.
Carrot and egg yolk: mix an egg yolk with one small grated carrot and blend to a pulp, spread over hands, leave for 10 minutes and rinse off.
Strawberry and yogurt: pulp a few strawberries, add a tablespoon of natural yogurt, spread over hands, leave for 10 minutes and rinse off.
These are all nourishing masks which will help to revitalise dry hands.
I will be back tomorrow with some ideas for hand and nail oils.
