I hope you have enjoyed the weekend so far. It hasn’t been that busy here. Small person had a party yesterday morning and in the afternoon we filled the car with stuff to take to the tip/recycling centre. We got rid of the old TV and took lots of stuff to put in the charity collection bins they have there.
The hall is now clear so we can start again on the next round of decluttering.
Today we had a very lazy morning (as it was raining on and off most of the morning) but by lunchtime the sun came out so some washing was put on the line and we went for a walk in the woods and then played catch and had a kick-around in the garden for a while.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is good so we are planning a nice long bike ride. We will take a picnic and stay out for a few hours, all being well.
Menu plan for the week:
Sunday: Roast chicken, roast potatoes, veg and gravy
Monday: Chicken thighs with cous cous and roasted vegetables
Tuesday: Spaghetti carbonara
Wednesday: Sausages, noodles, vegetables
Thursday: Chicken Risotto
Friday: Homemade fish and chips
There was plenty of meat left on the chicken after our roast today so I will make a pie for the freezer tomorrow and keep some chicken back for the risotto on Thursday. I have got a couple of chicken carcases in the freezer so I will get them out and, with the one from today, make some stock.
I have done quite a lot of reading today but no sewing so I must make amends for that tomorrow.
I hope you all manage to enjoy the Bank Holiday tomorrow.
