An outdoorsy kind of day and menu planning

I didn’t manage to blog last night as I had a night out with some of the other mums from school.   We went to a very nice restaurant in the village and had nice food, nice wine and plenty of chat.   It was quite a late night (for me!), I got home just before 1am.  I even wore heels out – which really doesn’t happen very often!

There was the potential for today to be a bit of a right-off but we did a big charity shop run this morning to get rid of clutter and then rewarded our industry(!) this afternoon by getting the paddling pool out and having a few hours in the garden.

Menu plan for the week:

Saturday: steak and chips with salad

Sunday:  homemade beefy goodness pie

Monday:  tuna fishcakes

Tuesday:  belly pork, mash and salad

Wednesday: pasta with bacon, spring onion, tomatoes and soft cheese

Thursday: Homemade quiche

Friday:  Fish night

I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Until tomorrow…
