Chocolate Heaven

I made chocolate brownies yesterday with small person.   Oh dear – I may come to regret this as they were possibly the best chocolate treat ever.   And so easy to make.

200g dark chocolate

250g butter

4 eggs – beaten

450g sugar

125g plain flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

100g chocolate chips

Put the chocolate and butter in a large bowl and set it over a pan of barely simmering water (making sure the bowl does not come in contact with the water).

Measure out the dry ingredients.

Beat the eggs in another small bowl.

When the chocolate and butter has melted remove from the heat and give it a good mix until it is smooth.

Add the dry ingredients and give a good  mix.

Then mix in the beaten eggs.

Pour the whole lot in to a square cake tin that has been lined with baking parchment.

Put on the middle shelf of a pre-heated oven and bake for 40 mins at 180.

The above is just some of them (the recipe I have given makes a lot).  Oh my were they good and there are plenty left for today – happy Sunday!

I hope you are all having a great weekend.

Until tomorrow…
