A Christmas round-up

I haven’t posted since the eve of Christmas Eve.  I decided to  have a complete break from all things internet and this is the first time I have logged on to look at anything.  It has been lovely to read all the various Christmas posts that have appeared on my favourite blogs over the few days I have been off-line.

Our Christmas was good, Carols by Candlelight in the local village church on Christmas Eve.   Wonderful fish pie for dinner on Christmas Eve followed by homemade Chocolate Yule Log.   Then a late night for OH and me as we wrapped lots of presents!

Christmas Day saw an appreciative note from Santa for the mince pie and sherry and lots of presents under the tree.    Good food and a very relaxed day.

Boxing Day saw a walk, a drink in the village pub and more lovely food.

Small person has been out on her new bike every day and has really mastered a bigger bike (and gears) very quickly.  Today we took ourselves off to Hestercombe Gardens – a very lovely walk around the gardens.

A few photos from the last few days:

  1. just gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. Wish I’d been there on Christmas Eve, I love a good fish pie and that one looked very good.

Your Christmas seems much like ours. Small, quiet, but absolutely everything we wanted :O) xx
