A making and breaking weekend

Lots of kitchen time this weekend.

I cooked up some stewing steak with mushrooms and onions (all fried in the pan first and then cooked for a few hours in the slow cooker) to make a couple of pies for the freezer.

We had some bananas that had got a little too ripe for eating so a batch of banana and chocolate chip muffins were made:

200g flour

3 mashed bananas

4 tablespoons rapeseed oil

80g light  brown sugar

2 eggs

130mls milk

as many chocolate chips as you like

And then it was home made pizza for dinner:

But unfortunately all this making came at a price as I managed to drop my large Mason Cash mixing bowl which smashed in to about 20 pieces – very cross with myself.

Another bunch of Lidl roses were purchased this weekend – pink this week – to be split between the bedroom and bathroom.  The white ones from last weekend are still looking good in the living room and I have two pots of daffs in the dining room.  I do love having flowers in the house.

I hope you have all had a good weekend.

Until tomorrow…

    1. I will be looking for one, it was one of those breakages that mattered! Sometimes you break something and you think ‘ah well, no big deal’ and then sometimes you break something and it does seem like a big deal! Pizza was good!
