About

I am a part-time academic (lecturer in nineteenth-century English literature), mum to small person and wife to OH.   As well as a passion for literature of the nineteenth century (most especially sensation fiction, Dickens and Trollope) I also have a love of making – sewing, knitting and cooking.   I don’t claim to be particularly skilled but reasonably competent.   Making and creating gives me great pleasure, helps me to relax and,  I believe, enables me to live a life that has an element of frugal sustainability.  I hope you will share with me the things you like to make and create.
