Scrubbing and baking

Today I tackled some things that had been stored in the attic and which we now need to get rid of.  Mostly this consisted of baby ‘stuff’ – a couple boxes of baby toys, high chair, pram, car seats, walker etc etc.  Some of these things will be put on ebay, some on freecycle and some taken to the charity shop.    All the objects had been bagged or wrapped where possible but they have been in the attic a good few years so are all getting scrubbed, washed and generally freshened up.

I haven’t been here for a week or so – life just rather caught up with me and I didn’t have time to post anything.    Things are a little less chaotic now so I thought I would post a few pictures from the Frozen party which happened on Saturday.

Christmas Cake

Last weekend was Christmas pudding making and this weekend I got to grips with the cake.   I used a Nigella recipe (available online so I wont write it out here).

I soaked the dried fruit for just over 24 hours in sherry .

This morning small person helped me turned all these ingredients in to our cake.

Making Muffins

Small person had a friend over to play after school so chocolate cake was needed.   Chocolate muffins are always a hit and an easy Friday make.
